Popups

The popups with no game in them — and the one control that turns a popup into a game without starting the campaign over.

Can I run a plain email popup with no game in it?

Yes, and it gets the whole of Lucky You anyway: the same targeting, the same schedule, the same OTP-verified capture, the same unique discount code per person and the same per-campaign analytics. The plain email popup is on every plan, including Free.

Are the popup countdowns real?

Yes. Countdowns run on the server clock rather than the visitor's, so they cannot be reset by reloading the page or by changing the device's clock. When a Lucky You countdown says an offer ends, it ends.

How many popup layouts and styles are there?

Four shapes and ten finished styles. None of them need an upload to look complete, so a popup can be live and on-brand without any design work.

Can a popup ask for more than just an email?

Yes. A popup can ask for up to four things in sequence — an email, a phone number, a message, and the reward itself — instead of putting everything on one screen. Multi-step capture is available from the Growth plan; single-step capture is on every plan.

How does Lucky You handle phone numbers and SMS consent?

Phone capture is off by default, and skippable by the shopper when it is on. A number is only stored against a consent box that starts unticked, so consent is always something a shopper gave rather than something they failed to remove. Lucky You never subscribes anyone to SMS on your behalf.

What happens when a shopper closes the popup?

It collapses into a small tab at the edge of the screen rather than disappearing, so a shopper who closes it by reflex can bring it back if they change their mind. The teaser tab is available from the Starter plan.
