Rewards & Codes

Where other popup apps stop. A prize is only worth what happens next — a code that cannot be shared, stock that never runs dry, and a redemption you can trace.

What kinds of reward can a shopper win?

A percentage off, a fixed amount off, or free shipping. Whichever it is, the shopper receives a genuine Shopify discount code for it rather than a message telling them to remember something.

Reward Types & Values

Do I have to set up the same reward twice for two campaigns?

No. Reward pools are shared across campaigns: two campaigns both offering 10% off draw on one pool backed by one Shopify discount. Set a reward up once and use it everywhere. Shared pools are on every plan, including Free.

How does Lucky You keep from running out of codes?

Codes are managed as inventory with a full lifecycle: generated in advance, reserved when a shopper is about to win, assigned when they claim, and reconciled against Shopify afterwards. Because codes are generated ahead of demand rather than at the moment of winning, a spike in play does not leave a winner waiting.

Reward Inventory / Codes

What is the difference between a claim and a redemption?

A claim is a shopper receiving their code. A redemption is that code actually being spent on an order. They are counted separately throughout the app, because the gap between them is one of the most useful things you can know about an offer.

Claim vs Redemption

Do reward pools refill on their own?

Yes, automatically. Pools are restocked without anyone having to watch them, which is what makes it safe to leave a campaign running unattended over a weekend or a sale.

Reward Refill

What happens if a reward or its Shopify discount breaks?

Lucky You detects and repairs it. Broken rewards, missing Shopify discounts and invalid codes are found and fixed before a winner is left holding nothing. This is the failure a gamified popup can least afford, so it is handled rather than reported.

Reward Health / Repair

How does Lucky You know when a code was used?

Through Shopify order webhooks. When an order is placed with a Lucky You code, the redemption comes back and is attributed to the campaign that issued it — which is how revenue ends up on a per-campaign basis rather than as a single unattributed total.
