Lucky You

Troubleshooting

The things that go wrong most often, and what actually fixes them. If the widget is not appearing at all, start with the theme app embed.

Why is the Lucky You widget not showing on my store?

Almost always the theme app embed. It has to be enabled in your Shopify theme editor and saved there, and it is separate from turning the campaign on inside the app. After that, check the other two requirements: the campaign must be running rather than a draft, and you must have impression capacity left in the cycle. If the widget was working and then stopped, the usual cause is a theme change or the embed being switched off.

Widget Not Showing

Why does nothing show for a visitor who should match?

Campaigns are checked top to bottom and the first match wins, so a campaign higher in the list may be absorbing that visitor. The campaign list flags this and names the campaign responsible. To check a specific case, describe the visitor in the “who sees what” simulator — it calls the same resolution function the storefront does, so its answer is the real one.

Nothing Resolves for a Visitor

A shopper won but there was no code available. Why?

That is the failure the reward system is built to prevent. Codes are generated ahead of demand, reserved before a win is confirmed, and pools refill automatically; broken rewards, missing Shopify discounts and invalid codes are detected and repaired. Check the reward's health in the app — a reward whose Shopify discount was deleted from the Shopify side is the case worth looking for first.

No Codes Available

The verification code is not arriving. What should I check?

The code is 6 digits and expires after 10 minutes, so one that arrives late is no longer valid — resend it and a fresh code with a fresh expiry is issued. If codes never arrive for a particular address, it is usually mistyped or filtering the message, which is exactly the case OTP verification exists to keep off your list.

OTP Not Arriving

The announcement bar is covering my header. How do I fix it?

Switch the bar from overlay to push mode. Push moves the page down to make room for the bar and moves your theme's sticky header with it, instead of laying the bar over the top of your navigation.

Bar Covers My Header

I changed plan but the app still shows the old one.

Plan changes run through Shopify and need Shopify's approval before they take effect, so a short delay between approving and seeing the change is normal. If you are on annual billing and expected your impressions to change, they will not — the allowance still resets monthly, by design.

Billing Not Updated

Why is revenue missing from my analytics?

Revenue is attributed through Shopify order webhooks when an order is placed using a Lucky You code, so an order that did not use one will not appear. Note also that claims and redemptions are counted separately: a code that has been handed out but not yet spent shows under Claimed, and contributes no revenue until it is actually used at checkout.
